Yet another engineering firm's proposal to fix traffic amounts to private pods in the sky. While I do think that Wonderland needs a high-order transit connection, I can't help but think if those wires were closer to the ground, electrified, and positioned over a tram track they would provide much higher throughput, utility, flexibility, and all-weather reliability than gondolas.

Ridiculous. The YR #20 bus goes right there from Vaughan Metro center along Jane every 20 minutes. If they were serious about this they could just have two dedicated bendy-busses criss-crossing each other on the route, its only 10minutes.

I mean don't get me wrong. Cable cars are cool.

But heckaspensive. And in this case completely unnecessary.

If anything, they should jack the frequency of the #20 and when it's finally hitting the capacity the bendy busses can fill, build an LRT (more likely but boooo) or an automated above ground light metro like SkyTrain (pipe dream, but wouldn't it be the best solution?)

or dare we say.... monorail?

Well, sir, there's nothing on earth

Like a genuine, bona fide

Electrified, six-car monorail

What'd I say?

Monorail

What's it called?

Monorail

That's right! Monorail

I feel like a decent Shuttlebus would do the same without the excessive infrastructure this would need.

buuuut on the other hand this would be stupid funny.

Considering that I've been hit TWICE by flying cellphones while riding on Canada's Wonderland rollercoasters, there's no way I'd want a gondola over a busy road or sidewalk.
