I think that's no doubt true but if they'd have lit it up straight away on the night of Oct 7th then they could say they'd done their bit.

This is honestly the same reaction most of my Israeli friends have had online since this flared up, basically everyone is not performatively supporting Israel enough whereas nearly everything I have seen on the pro-Palestinian side is about providing aid and pressuring governments to pressure Israel into ending this.
This is getting very tedious. Israel and Jews abroad don't have a more worthy roll call of the dead.
