Diablo IV would be the second game to support the technology behind Square Enix's Forspoken.

Wasn't forspoken an absolute performance desaster, when it launched? Then again, maybe a halfway properly implemented game could benefit from it eventually.

I don't really care from a DRM standpoint, but I'm a little annoyed from a privacy standpoint and a "this game continues to work in the future after the company goes belly-up" standpoint.

Consumers absolutely have a choice. Stop buying unfinished AAA games that have intrusive DRM and the problem solves itself.

I haven’t bought a game with Denuvo or similar always-on schemes in… probably about 6 years. I do plenty of PC gaming.

Doesnt it need to be developed from the ground up with that in mind? If that is the case, then why doesnt it have direct storage already?
