Newpipe rules. It's cool to have the chad PeerTube and the cringy YouTube in the same place
always preferred newpipe. but also I don't use youtube too much.
Hopefully, some other mod fills the void before Vanced stops working.
Well, we still do use newpipe on Android and freetube on PC, quite a lot. There are content providers which only use youtube, given they want to reach more people. Though I haven't ever used Vanced, I'm afraid such movements might reach both newpipe and freetube, :(
I think NewPipe is just reading the youtube.com website, and it's not derived from the youtube app (like Vanced was) nor is it using any Youtube trademarks. It will probably be fine.
There's speculation that google dropped the hammer on Vanced because they recently announced a Vanced NFT, but I I'm not sure about that. Maybe?
