Because ChatGPT was who created the schedule and pushed NY.

Wait until next year when AI takes over the schedule making and the Arizona Cardinals end up with 9 primetime games

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Arizona has literally 0 primetime games this year.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Jets, Giants and Cowboys always get the most primetime games allowed by schedule rules

Bills were considered a SB contender

Jets are a new addition this year considering this is the first time we’ve had an SNF game in like a decade

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The last SNF game you had was the butt fumble and occurred on a Thursday, which just makes it even stranger.

You should really ask why Denver is getting so much primetime coverage after last years debacle when they had so many primetime games

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Sean Payton hopium

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Broncos always get primetime love

Popular teams get it

Denver has a huge fanbase coupled with Sean Payton addition.

And Russ is one of the few players who is recognizable outside of football.

10% of NFL teams are from NY it’s called math

New York is the number one TV market

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Survey says…Number one answer

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Basically most the South prefers college football by polling as well

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

It’s literally the biggest TV market in the US?

C’mon now…

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Giants and Jets prime time games the past two weeks were in Vegas, not New York.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Giants won a playoff game last year, Jets traded for Aaron Rodgers, and Bills were supposed to be Super Bowl contenders. Theoretically all three teams were contenders when the schedule was put together and the first two are in the NYC media market.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Giants wins were unsustainable.

Jets had a bad injury derail their season.

Bills got Josh Allen playing Madden every week.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Great analysis

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Why didn't the schedule makers predict the Jets having a bad injury in Week 1?!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The first two are because it’s NYC, the last is because they were a preseason Super Bowl contender.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

A lot of people live here, and the Bills have a top 5 QB

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The Jets just traded for Aaron Rodgers before he got hurt, and the league seems to have forgotten they can flex games

The Bills were super bowl contenders

The Giants

Bills are the Bills

Jets had Rodgers and were expected to contend for the playoffs

Giants made the playoffs last year

They were all gonna get alot of primetime love

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Because the Giants were good last year and the league didn’t expect Rodgers to go down after 3 plays

2 of them are massive market teams and the other is a team that was supposed to be one of the biggest contenders and has one of the biggest stars in football

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Biggest media market in the US.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Because the jets and the giants had 2 of the highest paid quarterbacks. It's funny to see it blow up in nfl face

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

it's almost like New York is a big market

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The bigger question is why are there so many prime time games with the Bears, Raiders, and Broncos. Unlike with the Jets, we knew they were going to suck.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Buffalo is a draw and there were also high expectations for the New Jersey teams as well.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Well the Bill's don't have THAT many

Now New Jersey on the other hand...

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

TIL Redditors don’t understand population size.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The answer you seek is inside the question.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Because New York is a huge market. No matter how bad the teams are tons of people will tune in with means $$$$$

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

“First time?”

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

big market teams are on prime time a lot regardless of record

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Because there are a lot of eyeballs for their sweet, sweet advertising dollars. Same goes for LA

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

So we can see every ACL year without distraction.
