Over the past few days there have been a number of outcomes that have been basically the last expected thing. Prigozhin starts a coup, marches nearly unopposed to Moscow, then just... stops. The Russians blew the Kakhovka dam so the Dnipro would become even more impassible and they could withdraw their defences to redeploy elsewhere, and so the Ukrainians have crossed the Dnipro.

What's next? Even [email protected] (or [email protected]) haven't been able to keep up.

A some sort of nuclear catastrophe, perhaps? Wouldn't be the best news, of course...

Right?!?!? That’s what I’m wondering. I see a bridge in the map pic but I can’t imagine Moscow left a bridge standing that can be used to cross anything heavier than a small bird.

More important question is can they hold and solidify the beach head. Often one can make initial assault and landing, but then the beach head is on a thin supply line and at risk of counter attack.

Not to be negative nanny. I hope they can secure and push out from it. Just noting making the beach head is only first half of the problem.

Who knows in what condition the bridge is. Plus even it still being standing, Ukraine isn't the only one with cruise missiles to lob at bridges.

Boats. Small ones. Unfortunately they only have limited light vehicles but I'd imagine defense there is light.

Apparently the US have them attack boats and tactical RIBs equipped with miniguns
