And yes, ever since their new interface they have been very aggressively pushing people to register accounts and use their app, both of which are really clear signs where they plan to take Reddit (or rather where it already is, but it will only get worse).

I'm here because of that post! I thought Lenny wasn't ready for prime-time use yet, but I was happy to find out how good and snappy it is. Especially on mobile, Lemmy is such a pleasure, especially compared to Reddit which has become slower and less friendly.
It seems that this was just in time, as I understand Lemmy just got federation.

This is how ads should look like. They don't "break" the site, they don't look like an intruder, they're perfectly embeded within the web's design.
