Is there a community where people share their own projects?

I have some self-made applications and think they may be useful for others too, so I want to present them.

I already looked into some of the FOSS communities, but they seem more to be for news and discussions of established software.

Thank in advance for any tip.

What is it

Let's Talk About Games aims to be a place where fans of videogames come together to talk about the hobby they love, the culture around that hobby and the ways in which we interact and enjoy it.

Maybe you've played a cool game that you'd like to talk about, or perhaps you've watched a really interesting deep-dive into your favourite games lore that you feel needs to be shared. That's the sort of thing we're going for.

If that sounds like it might be for you then pop on over and join in the conversation.

The Lyrics Game is a fun community with a fun new game where you take the lyrics from any song you like and run it through an AI. Post the Image and have user guess the song title used. Come give it a try.

I saw a couple posts of someone asking for help with their homework, and thought it might be a good idea to have our own dedicated Homework Help community.

If you're taking classes, or even better yet, have passed classes, please subscribe to [email protected]. I will do my best to answer what I can, but admittedly I've been out of school for a long time, so I'd really appreciate your help with this project. Also, we can't help anyone if we don't have questions to answer, so please don't hesitate to ask!

TLDR

  • From right now and until April 1st, discuss with your country's community on Lemmy about which song to send and share to the Fediverse.
  • On April 1st, voting will begin, where you will rank your favourite songs. Any song not submitted by this date will not be featured.
  • On April 8th, results of everyone's favourite songs will be published.
  • Join us at [email protected] for any question, this will be the community for updates and results, make sure to subscribe if you'd like to stay in the loop.

Hey everyone!

I'm trying to launch Lemmyvision, a Eurovision-like Song Contest for Lemmy communities around the world ! I'd love for people across Lemmy to participate, I hope it will bring people together through our diverse taste of music, so join us if you'd like to discover new music and culture from around the world!

What is Lemmyvision?

  • Lemmyvision is inspired from Eureddision (itself a reenactment of the Eurovision song contest) which was held on r/europe some years ago, and based on the participation of national communities / instances and the delicate musical taste of their members (you!).
  • Every country is welcome to participate! The contest follows the rule of “national languages only”. The aim is to promote different languages and cultures from around the world, to share more between our online communities across Lemmy, and discover songs from lesser known artists. I hope to make it a regular event, so hopefully this works well for the first edition!

I'm going to try and share the word across Lemmy, don't hesitate if you want to crosspost to your country's community!

You can find more information on [email protected], don't hesitate if you have questions or suggestions, or would like to help!

See you soon! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍

This community is dedicated to educational resources for the modern autodidact, as well as discussion on self-teaching methods. Preferably, resources are of at least university quality, though they do not have to be university affiliated. This community is also meant to act as a centralized hub for other communities dedicated to learning a new subject or skill (see [email protected]).

As stated in the post title, this online raft's for players and enthusiasts of the non-profit, four-key rhythm/mystery visual novel game that's bound to test your hand and sight reflexes with well-made song charts and course journeys, vivid/statis, itself made by Hajimeli and Team Vividstatis.

Come join our PlayStation community [email protected]

There you’ll find news, articles, opinion pieces and reviews of PlayStation games and hardware old and new. Like a review of 2008’s PlayStation 3 racer Ferrari Challenge that was posted yesterday.

Think of the community like a traditional gaming website except with no hosting fees or SEO to really worry about there’s no click bait and most importantly no ads.

Traditional gaming sites exist to make money by getting the maximum amount of traffic to their site. My community is about all things PlayStation because I want to write about it, share it and talk about it, not because i’m looking to get something out of it.

Most of the content is posted by me (the mod) as I am currently resurrecting an abandoned community but members are perfectly free to post their own content too.

Unlike other gaming communities I won’t be merely posting links to websites. Anyone can do that. What sets this community apart is all content posted by me will be readable entirely on Lemmy. So all news stories, articles and reviews will be my own writing.

Obviously I won’t hold community members to that and they are free to post links to other sites or they don’t even need to post content at all, just come and subscribe and the best PlayStation news will land in your Lemmy feed.

I hope to see you there.
