The app cannot handle the length of my username, resulting in it being cut off and the button to switch accounts, add an account, and sign out being hidden.

Edit: Also, the swipe action for downvote seems to upvote instead.

Edit 2: Correction, the swipe action seems to depend on how quickly I do it. If I do the gesture quickly it upvotes no matter what.

Edit 3: Seems to be fixed as of 1.0.44.

Hi, Today's update brings an improved community list in the drawer, block list management for users and communities, ability to hide read posts, and various minor improvements/fixes. You can also now view the about page for Communities as well including subscriber count, active users, and number of posts.

Sorry if this has already been posted but a quick glance and i didnt see it. For the gif I was scrolling through fast to see it occur but it has happened enough with organic usage I felt I needed to post. I checked two post from the video and its not reposted content. Upvoting one upvoted both, both have identical comments.

Right now, I have the general text size set to medium. This works great for titles and posts, but the comments are really tiny. It would be nice to separately set text sizes for different types of texts so that comments are easier to read.

(Unsure if this is a bug, user error, or feature request—let me know if I tagged incorrectly.)

It does not matter, if I speed up or slow down the animation down. The app doesn't respect the settings.

When a user views a post and its comments, then the search button can have the option to search comments inside that post.

I'm getting "Error: domain is blocked" when trying to post. Some of my posts still go through, but some do not.

Everytime I open the app it takes me to /All where as I would like to set the default view to /Subscribed

It would be awesome to have a way to view the details of a community and all of the associated user details such as how many subscribers total, per hour, and etc. The same should be available to view for an instance as well.

I can't seem to find a way to do that yet.

Currently there are 2 search options - search locally or search in all. It would be nice to have a third option to search in a specific community. This would be similar to how we can search inside a specific subreddit. Thanks!

one of the main reasons I used third party apps on reddit is the ease of blocking subs I didn't want to see. As it stands, blocking instances on connect is clunky and a pain in the ass.

I downloaded the app (Version 1.0.38), but unfortunately it immediately crashes when launching.

I'm using a Surface Duo 2 running Android 12. I saw a 1 star review in the Google Play Store saying they used a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and had the same issue.

So I'm thinking it might have to do with foldable phones or at least non-standard screen aspect ratios or resolutions.

Hi, This update happened faster than I was planning since a lot of these features came together quickly. Large features added yesterday are 2FA support, a markdown editor, and swipe actions on posts and comments. I also reworked some of the API functions so I can immediately update the state with what I think it will be instead of waiting on an api response to update the view. So things should feel overall snappier now.

On another note, thank you everyone for all of the support! We're at 2.1k active users now and quickly growing. I hope we can make this the best native application for browsing Lemmy and your feedback really helps!

Also, I'm looking for a new app icon. Hopefully something a bit sleeker. If you have design skills please get in touch!

I am on an Android 11 phone (Moto G Power). I am unable to login because the button is off the screen. Rotating the phone disables the ability to scroll down.

I tried changing the font size and this did not decrease the size of the login buttons either.

Hi, I released 1.0.35 this morning to add in some of the feature requests I got yesterday. I hope you enjoy the update! The next update will probably be a couple days as I want to add image uploads and markdown editing but they're both larger features with some corner cases to consider. Independent text size controls is also a much requested feature that's been on my radar.

I installed this app as it supports older android versions but I couldn't sign in or see any posts in the app. Every time I try to sign in it gives me this error message: Error: HandshakeException: Handshake error in client (OS Error: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED: certificate has expired(handshake.cc:393))

I tested with a newer phone and it works well so I guess it has to do with the older android version. I hope this can be fixed.

I was trying to post this appreciation post to the community, but it would not let me hit the + button until i hit "show read posts" for my account. Oh i almost forgot, one other bug is when i hit "all" on my inbox it just shows a grey box.

Also just wanted to say that the app is awesome, thanks! Seems like you have listened to feedback and updates are rapid! The updated full width view makes the app look so much better!

Hi, I've been working through adding some more of the feedback I've received and wanted to post an update. We've also passed 1K+ downloads, which is pretty great for only being a couple days old. Biggest changes are added Share and download options to image views, Edit support for comments and posts, markdown previews when creating/editting, and a new list view with the thumbnail on the right.

For users with multiple accounts on different instances that share a username things should now work correctly as well!
