Only semi-beautiful, but I tried

Annual cost of living data according to SmartAsset 2025 Report, except for DC which is not included in their reporting.

DC annual cost of living was estimated to be $99,424 per separate data, however it may be outdated. This would place DC as less expensive than 18 states by 2025 numbers, which is probably lower than it should be.

Minimum wage income assumes 40 hours per week by 52 weeks a year at the minimum wage rate.

Hundreds of woman in one cane producing district were agreeing to the surgery, say activists, in order to keep working long, physically punishing hours

Pretty sure they blocked me after I commented, so no screenshot.

The US essentially has no restrictions on what parents can do to their children, or pay to have done to them. These companies will show up at night, and take a child out of their bed at night. They explicitly tell parents not to warn the kid what will happen.

Imagine being woken up in the middle of the night, maybe forced to quickly pack, and then be loaded in a van. You have no idea where you are going or why or who or what is going on. You get taken to a facility which is basically a cult. You might be dumped out in rural Utah, with people that have zero training in wilderness safety, who might punish you by denying you food and water.

Children die in these places all the fucking time. There generally is no state or federal oversight of these facilities - so there aren’t really investigations. These places are havens for child predators.

When I was sexually abused at a similar facility and tried to report it - I was placed on heavy doses of antipsychotics in retaliation. They drugged me unconscious, and then punished me for sleeping during “class.” As an adult, I have involuntary shakes and movements associated with the medical malpractice enacted on me.

These places don’t get investigated, they don’t get shut down. I think Utah is one of the only states with any form of agency that watches over these places. Child protective services won’t go in, health care agencies won’t go in.

Children have no rights in the US. They are the property of their parents, to be disposed of as they wish. And fuckers like this agency are delighted to kidnap children that their parents can’t be assed to parent.

Unfortunately for them, that protester happened to be William Gude, the founder of filmthepolicela.com.

London's Met Police are trialling Israeli-developed SandCat armoured vehicles, previously "battle-tested" in Gaza, for high-risk operations involving "serious public disorder".

SandCats are manufactured by Israeli defence company Plasan, which for over three decades has been a key supplier of deadly equipment to the Israeli military.

According to Israel Defence, Plasan supplied up to 700 SandCats to the Israeli military following the start of Israel’s ongoing genocide on Gaza.

When man first walked on the moon, the carbon dioxide concentration in Earth's atmosphere was 325 parts per million (ppm).

By 9/11, it was 369 ppm, and when COVID-19 shut down normal life in 2020, it had shot up to 414 parts ppm.

This week, our planet hit the highest levels ever directly recorded: 430 parts per million.

"This problem is not going away, and we're moving further and further into uncharted territory, and almost certainly, very dangerous territory."

The Base is emerging from shadows and ramping up its ranks as White House turns blind eye to the far right

An international neo-Nazi terrorist organization is boldly continuing to build in the US and planning a new paramilitary training event without fear of local authorities or the FBI, which once dismantled it in a nationwide effort.

The Base, founded in 2018 by a former Pentagon contractor living in Russia and now suspected of Kremlin-sponsored espionage, once boasted close to 50 stateside members before the bureau made more than a dozen arrests in a years-long counter-terrorism operation.

But since the presidential election campaign last year and what many then believed to be a surefire victory for Donald Trump, the Base saw an opportunity in a potential administration uninterested in policing white supremacy and went about ramping up its ranks.

A short video from Rafah in southern Gaza, filmed last Friday, shows a crowd rushing toward a food distribution center operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

"A-a-a-and, here they come," someone, either the person filming or someone next to him, says in English in a half-amused tone. The residents swarm the piles of boxes, load up as many provisions as they can and flee the area. The air is filled with a cloud of dust during the rush.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is supposed to supply food directly to families in amounts that meet their precise needs, without any excess that they could sell on the open market – ensuring Hamas will not be able to levy taxes on these goods or to accumulate food.

And yet, videos of the aid centers clearly show there is neither registration nor checking. Residents storm the boxes and carry away as much aid as they can. In such a situation, it's clear the aid will not only reach hungry families, but also the open market.
