Original Title: "FTX faces backlash after proposed estimation of customers’ Bitcoin at $16k, ETH at $1258, and SOL at $16. FTX debtors argue that its estimate reflects the "fair and reasonable" prices of these cryptocurrencies".

"As such, the defunct crypto platform proposed estimating Bitcoin’s value at $16,871, Ethereum’s price at $1,258, and Solana’s SOL at $16. The firm also estimated Avalanche’s AVAX at $14.19, stablecoins USDT, TUSD, and BUSD a few cents less than their usual $1 peg.

The value of many of these digital assets, bar the stablecoins, has rapidly increased amid the significant market rise of the past year. For context, BTC is trading above $40,000 presently, while ETH’s value has also exceeded $2,200. SOL is also trading at more than $100 as of press time.

However, FTX argued that its valuations represent a “fair and reasonable” value of these digital assets as of the petition date—Nov. 11, 2022".

i’ve been looking at VeChain and I am wondering what is so cool about it? I’ve read the white paper and I’m trying to understand the technology and I’m just not quite getting it could. Could somebody explain it to me like I’m five and help me to understand pros in the cons of VeChain. Also, why is this an up-and-coming token versus others. I’ve seen a lot of hype, and I’m not quite sure. I understand what makes it so exciting exactly for people. I have to keep questioning these things as I rotate out my old ALT coins

I’m in a position to invest some money for savings I could use down the line as well as being offered services to accomplish such.

Is a 10% retainers fee/management fee per cash deposit & 30% of Gross Assets Profit Growth fair for a client? What should a client lookout for to not get fkd over on a crypto investment agreement?

It might be obvious at this point that I need to do more research. Would love if you guys could point me into the right direction on what to read up on, etc. (I love to watch videos too so I’d love to know your recommendations!)

As the title says, does anyone know a safe way to transfer air dropped (scam) nfts and even air dropped (scam) coins to the burn address?

The amount of scams out there are ridiculous.

I have just bought a new ledger and have just set up a new wallet on it. I transferred my coins to the ledger and within a day some one air dropped me a scam NFT.

I have not interacted with it and I will not until I find a safe way to do so but i've looked around but can't find any answers for the ETH Network.

All help is appreciated.

Honestly never heard anything about this project and it suddenly shoots up to the moon. And it doesn't seem like it wants to stop anytime soon.

I've read on Twitter that they manipulated the market somehow but I'm not really sure how they could achieve this.

I know we are in a bull market, but this seems higly suspicious. Unlike Solana that came with a massive hypetrain and constant shilling from Influencers this project just crept up from the underworld.

Is anyone actually following or invested in this project and knows why?

First at all let's define what gambling is:

Gambling (also known as betting or gaming) is the wagering of something of value ("the stakes") on a random event with the intent of winning something else of value, where instances of strategy are discounted.

~Wikipedia

And what does investment mean:

from Investopedia

Playing the "Powerball" - lottery, you pick 5 out of 69 numbers plus 1 out of 26 random numbers. The odds to hit the jackpot is 1 in 292,201,338.

If you lost your bet, you lost.<-This is gambling

When it comes to invest in altcoins, there are many many factors that can come in play. You can do due diligence:

  • check the dev team behind the project

  • check the tokenomics

  • consider macro economic/ political factors

  • compare market valuation of the project to similar projects

  • technical analysis

  • countless more ways

You can always back off a bad investment and invest into another more promising one to re-balance one's portfolio. As long as the investor doesn't blindly yolo-ing all their life-saving into a memecoin, even a small investment into memecoin is worth a invesment when done correctly.

I hope I could clarify the difference between gambling and investing as I unfortunately see so many here to call investing into alts like playing lottery.

TL;DR: Investing in altcoins is clearly not gambling

There are many people in line who do not even know what they are for nor do they have knowledge of cryptocurrencies. They only promised them that they would be paid and that motivates them to spend many hours in the sun, without a bathroom or water and with private guards hired by the company who do not stop shouting. They are the same ones who do not want this journalist to interview the people in line or make videos. “Don't answer,” they yell at them.

The system is pyramidal, once verified with the iris scan, the company gives an invitation code and five coins are awarded for each person brought. The limit is five people, which is why there are several in line who were alone the first day and returned the next with family, friends or neighbors.

I want to get sell off some of my crypto investments and switch them over to other coins with better potential. Also is there any necessary Alt coins that I am missing that should be on everyone's portfolio for the next Cryto pump before it crashes again. I've been thinking to sell off XRP and ADA as they haven't fluctuated much since I've purchased them last year is there a good reason to keep those currencies? Or should I wait until they pump up a bit through 2024

Current Portfolio:

Eth - 51.12%

DOT - 20.84%

SOL - 17.07%

XRP - 6.01%

ADA - 4.78%
