Hi everyone,

Today I have finally received the Trezor I ordered one month ago.

It came all the way from Czech Republic and it made a few stops along the way. As you can see, the name "trezor" is clearly reported on the label and that's something that really throws me off, although of course I guess it's required by the law...

Anyway, seeing all the hack/scam posts and having been victim of a crypto scam a few years ago I really want to take any possible precautions and mitigate the risk of a hack as much as humanly possible.

I haven't opened the envelope yet, I wanted to ask you if there's anything I have to pay attention to, I know there should be some seals inside and I should make sure that they're not broken. But my doubt is, is there any chance that someone could break them, hack the device, and then use another packaging and re-seal it?

I'm going to unpack it while watching an unboxing video on Youtube to make sure it's all right, but if you have any additional suggestions (or a video to watch) please let me know! Also a video of how to set it up / store seed phrase / etc would be appreciated, I already watched some but the more the better.

Thanks a lot! :)

Also, what do you think of my shoes?

Yesterday, someone on Twitter reminded others that by buying Saga, a Solana phone that everyone gave up on, you get a claim for 30 million BONK. With the coin entering the top 50, it means the device is free by today's valuation. This info spread like fire and now the phone is sold out in US,

Isn't that a great story?

Can you imagine working for Solana Mobile? Nothing is happening and then boom, everything gone.

As I am writing this, a couple of them are still for sale in Europe.

I am also attaching a proof of reverse cc.

So i am usually investing more on the safe side, having money in SPY, eurostoxx, some bluechips and in btc, but now I am looking for something more spicy.

So I was thinking about putting some couple hundred bucks into 1 or 2 coins that have the potential to significantly grow in the next years..

The thing is everyone and their mom is predicting +1000% for whatever they are invested in.

So how do I differ the good from the bad stuff?

After some research I was thinking about putting some money in amp and polygon...

Your opinions?

If I'm only doing a monthly purchase, what would be the cheapest way to do it on Kraken? Do a USD deposit from my bank, then purchase the assets from that, or just use a debit? I know debit cards have a good sized fee, but I've never tried the first method. Are they essentially the same and debit purchases are just a luxury/faster?

With using a debit I'd be spending like $26-$30 a month in debit fees. Does the act of just depositing and converting your USD asset to BTC make it cheaper somehow? And how much longer does a normal bank transfer take once you initiate it? hours? days?

Hey all,

I periodically make this post every so often but I wanted input from you guys so I can get some knowhow on what I should be on the lookout for! Some collab for lack of a bettet word. Ill start.

Some things I know:

  • CB Wallet Quests: some decent quests with maybe $30-$40 of rewards? Worth it imo.
  • Coinbase Earn quizzes: log onto coinbase and complete their learn and earn quizzes! Dunno if they stay up forever.
  • Brave Browser and BAT: By downloading the chromium based browser Brave you can turn on ads to earn $3-$4/month. These ads are incredibly noninvasive and turn off other ads natively! Well worth it even without the crypto.
  • Staking/Farming: I do stake various alts on various chains. Google this sub for more info. More specifically interested in cosmos airdrops, I hear theyre legit.
  • ~~Moons~~ Never forget.

Id love to hear what other crypto secrets yall holdin.

Three checks and we're all out.

Implement a firmware update to the Ledger device that makes it possible for the seed phrase to be extracted: Check

Have a history of security breakdowns, including one in which a former employee has administrative access to make coding changes without any checks or balances in place: Check

Check 3 will be the catastrophic international headline "Ledger users worldwide lose all of their funds through coordinated hack that extracted seed phrases from all devices."

At this point, I can't see what kind of sense it makes to not make the wise move of using a different hardware wallet to keep your crypto safe.

Bull run (maybe ) time has woken the inner degen like many of us. And I am interested in the projects you guys are into. A few years back I heard of helium mining (still do it IOT mining now). And made a few k there. So was interested in new projects and ideas. yes I know most of them will lose me money but maybe some won't.

For anyone who might read this please be aware most projects are going to fail and to look at them carefully before putting money into it.

I know there are a lot of bad people who will give horrible advice but I know there are some good people here also.

Cheers

The Ledger Github was hacked and some dAPPs were affected! Ledger has fixed the problem.

The real fun begins now.

Here's the movement of the funds so far.

Looks like at the time of this post 268K is sitting on this wallet - 0x658729879fCa881D9526480B82aE00EFc54B5c2d

A look inside 0x658729879fCa881D9526480B82aE00EFc54B5c2d. As of this post about 228K of stolen funds is sitting here. You can see the out going txns to the right and the victims to the left.

Angel Drainer was used to clean out victims wallets and was paid their cut of about 10k.

A few hours ago, about 160K was moved to this wallet - 0x1b9f9964A073401a8BC24f64491516970bB84E47

Outflow of 0x658729879fCa881D9526480B82aE00EFc54B5c2d. Of interest is all of the different tokens going to 0x1b9f9964A073401a8BC24f64491516970bB84E47. You can see the Angel Drainer fee and a small txn of .013 ETH going to 0xd41138112Ace58D87Db07e4B5ED61740A6cBA6EB.

The hacker swapped all tokens to ETH through Metamask and as of now that's where the funds are.

I'm guessing these will either go through a mixer or an exchange in the next few hours.

I did see a tiny amount of ETH go to this wallet - 0xd41138112Ace58D87Db07e4B5ED61740A6cBA6EB where it eventually ends up at a ChangeNOW deposit address - 0x634984866301511696AC3fdC41Fa4700e11609CE -

He could be testing the waters here or paying for VPN / Proxy Services with that txn before making his next move.

Hopefully someone at ChangeNOW is on top of the txn and prepared to freeze if/when additional funds get moved into their deposit addresses.

Edit: Uhhhh hehehe. Wrong sub, sorry. Meant WSB regards.

Right before covid my best friend of 17 years started working at AVIS handling their damage line. Essentially he organized the repairs on the rentals to get them back in service and making money.

Early on he was always pissed off. Every time I'd talk to him he was passed off. Always the same reason, he doesn't know how the company is still running with how fucked up they run their damage line, or don't run it for that matter. There's a tall stack of uninvolved managers that need the number to look good. And they elhad everybody doing all these reports which they all lied on so they wouldn't get yelled at. My friend was the only one who stood up to those bosses and told them asked them if they wanted the numbers to look good or the work to get done. They wouldn't answer and he'd get back to work. As of 2 days ago he'd been promoted all the way up through the O'Hara Airport lot to being in charge of half the Midwest. They had him managing other people's regions for them as well. They were flying him to a new region each month to go be the fixer for their damage line and get them moving again, while still needing to keep his own territory accounted for. It's weird to think how the daily operations of such a large company could rest so heavily on one mid level manager. But there it is.

You're probably wondering why you fucking care right? I get it. I would be. Well that friend passed away a couple days ago. Sad for me, but possibly catastrophic for Avis since they currently have nobody that knows how to get his job done as correctly and efficiently as him. I know this because they kept sending him back to the same regions he had already fixed, when 2 months later it had all gone to shit again. The guy he replaced used to take kickbacks from companies (buy 100s of gallons of unneeded paint with company money and behold- an unaccounted for flat-screen TV came with the delivery pallet.) and he said similar behavior was not uncommon across the country.

Car rental company make money renting cars. Cars on the damage line are not being rented. The only guy in a huge company that was holding that line (barely) together just effectively quit without notice or training a replacement and he answered to nobody except higher departments by the time he died. They will have to train the replace from scratch basically.

Do what you want with this info.
