If there's an item in your mod whose display name is "Purple Thatch Slab", it would be cool if its id was "your_mod:purple_thatch_slab" and not "your_mod:1_grape_dimension_half_block".

Does anything label buildings and reward the player. Like 10 bookshelves in a building at least 6x10x10 is a library, or if you have enough blast furnaces and anvils indicates and labels a building a forge? Similar system to Terraria requiring a door and table to indicate a NPC room?

TLDR: Is there anything that recognizes and labels buildings for mod reasons or for villager AI?

To begin, I'm not looking for Minecolonies or Tektopia, and Villager Comforts only kind of hits on it.

I just enjoy upgrading normal villages near my base or if one spawns in an interesting biome. Examples: Roll in and make a mine if its near a cliff/mountain, or a pier/fishing hut near water, a temple/wizard tower if it looks great, mill near grasslands, etc.

Is there anything that recognizes and labels buildings for mod reasons or for villager AI? Like how you put coke bricks together a smack it with a hammer to get the coke oven but instead build a fence area or crops, whack it with an apple, and then villagers go "Herrrmmm, oh thats an orchard/farm/mill!" and farmers congregate there.

I typically just use blocks or a mod to anchor villagers where I want them to be but I remember Tektopia labeling buildings with items in a frame and having requirements and wanted to know if that idea ever came around again since Tektopia was a cool idea but a one hit blunder with no support.

There aren't too many packs that include trading materials for currency as part of their gameplay so let's collate them! Please suggest in the comments any trading-focused packs you've loved and I'll add them.

My criteria of basedness:

  1. No digital logistics. I hate ae2, not only is it just boring looking one-cable-does-it-all solution, but I think it is also part of the reason why recipes became so fking complicated in a lot of tech mods/packs with a billion useless intermediate components. Instead, I’d like to have something more tangible, like bc pipes or logistics pipes.
  2. As few magical one-block machines as possible. This means more mods along the lines of IE and create, not like thermal expansion or mekanism.
  3. No mining out of thin air. So no mods like ex nihilo or environmental tech. Instead, mining would be done by something like a bc quarry or a railcraft mining train (ahh that thing was so cool 🤤).

So basically, I want it to be as immersive as possible, you go around your base and see machines actually doing their work, items flowing through the pipes, power lines scattered everywhere etc, instead of just a million ugly same-looking block machines connected with those stupid cables.

Edit: I know ae2 mechanics, I just don’t like how it removes logistics problems and turns everything into numbers basically. I love when I can see what’s happening. This is one of the things I enjoy the most in this game. You fly with a jetpack and see how chunks of forests and meadows filled with animals are turning into huge empty pits made by bc quarry, how those mined ores travel through your base in pipes or on conveyors and change into different things as they are processed. This is the kind of gameplay I want.
