To make matters worse, the bill also includes a provision granting the state the power to use geolocation data on a person’s device to track their movement

The three will be prosecuted under France’s abusive criminal code that allows for the arrest of those who engage in speech that “affect the personal dignity or the respect owed to a public official.” It is a breathtaking denial of political speech and invites selective prosecution.

If convicted, they could face a fine of 15,000 euros and potentially up to one year in prison, according to La Chaîne Info.

Macron has hit a record low in polling, but his government will now enforce respect for him through threats of incarceration.

Charged with “insulting the president of the republic,” the woman is set to stand trial in Saint Omer on June 20. Speaking with the regional newspaper La Voix du Nord, the woman expressed her disbelief at the accusations, stating, “They want to make an example of me.”

Identified as Valerie by the newspaper, she recounted her shock upon discovering that police officers had arrived at her home to arrest her. “I asked them if it was a joke, I had never been arrested,” she said. “I am not public enemy number one.”

The study shows that 60% of requests came from authorities in the United States and Europe. However, the U.S. requested more than double the accounts per 100,000 users than all countries in the European Union combined.

Following the U.S. in the top spots are Germany, Singapore, the United Kingdom and France.

Germany remains heavily reliant on coal power, which from 2017 to 2021 generated 31% of the nation’s electricity. Despite the dependence on the carbon intensive fossil fuel, wind and solar energy generation together made up more of Germany’s electricity generation at 33% (23% for wind and 10% for solar).

France is Europe’s largest economy that primarily relies on nuclear power, with nuclear power making up more than half of the country’s electricity production.

Italy, the UK, and the Netherlands are all primarily natural gas powered when it comes to their electricity generation from 2017 to 2021. While Italy is the most reliant of the three at 42% of electricity generated by natural gas, the Netherlands (40%), and the UK (38%) aren’t too far off.

The protest was the culmination of months of dissatisfaction from the nation’s farmers, who have increasingly been gathering throughout the country to not only decry the increasingly difficult regulations, but also the soaring cost of production due to the energy crisis and a lack of water storage for irrigation.

Yesterday it became known that on December 29 a panel of the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL; National Commission on Informatics and Liberty)--which is tasked with the enforcement of the EU's General Data Privacy Regulation in France--"imposed an administrative fine of 8 million euros" on an Ireland-based Apple subsidiary for failing to obtain the consent of French iPhone users (specifically, users of version 14.6 of the operating system) "before depositing and/or writing identifiers used for advertising purposes on their terminals."

The French Commission Nationale Informatique & Libertés (CNIL) has found Apple in violation of the Data Protection Act and levied an €8 million fine over personalized ads in App Store on iOS 14.6.

iOS 14.5 introduced App Tracking Transparency (ATT) which mandates all developers including Apple to seek users’ permission to track their online activity across third-party apps and websites. The feature is designed to prevent invasive tracking and preserve users’ privacy.

An unnamed French woman set up a rendezvous with an illegal African migrant, copulated with him in a train station toilet, apparently regretted her poor decision-making, and proceeded to file an official complaint blaming a phantom white man.

What’s shocking in this case, as in the Jussie Smollett pseudo-lynching race hoax and other analogs, is that if her ludicrous story had been believed, and the police had found an innocent white man to arrest for the crime that never happened, she presumably would have sadistically watched him be prosecuted and imprisoned with no moral qualms. The Western “rape culture” narrative would have been further buttressed, and the corporate media would have had another juicy case study in the unique evil of the White Patriarchy™.

Meloni recalled that “of the 94,000 (migrants) landed” in Italy this year, “the relocated migrants are 38 in France and 57 in Germany,” a figure she derided as laughable. She claimed it was unacceptable that this has been the response of affluent European nations content with “Italy being the only port of disembarkation in Europe.”

The mainstream money quotes keep missing the separation with the US and the recognition of a European security architecture that takes Russia’s concerns about NATO expansion seriously. The more inclusive money quotes from both France and China included that recognition and exposed that separation

The probe covers suspicions of accepting bribes, influence peddling, illegal conflicts of interest and breach of trust, the national financial prosecutor's office said, confirming a report from daily Liberation. Graft-fighting group Anticor triggered the probe by filing a criminal report in June, with the investigation launched in September.

Wonder if this applies to the private jets used by the elites and ruling class.

Or just the working class plebs?
