I’ve been using 24H2 on my daily driver pc, and the only real difference I could see was a slight performance gain. But other than that there were quite a few things wrong with it. For starters I noticed that my backgrounds weren’t loading and even if I changed them they would still remain a black screen. Multiple applications crashed on me that the previous version ran perfectly. And for one of the strangest issues I’ve ever seen, multiple fps games don’t auto lock the cursor to your game which then requires you to download 3rd party software to lock the cursor to one monitor and then unlock it if you want to be able to use multiple monitors.

What do i purchase my games on? I came from a ps5 with an amazing oled TV and decent sound system. Now, have a badass 1440p build that I've been dreaming about for as long as I can remember.

For example I really want to get the new silent hill remake and I genuinely don't know if I should buy it on steam or on the Playstation lol

Anybody else have a console with a nicer "setup" for more laid back gaming? If so do you get the "relaxed/story" games on there?

I have another computer that always detects the monitor, so I know it’s not the actual monitor or cables.

Recently, when I wake my computer from sleep (technically suspend to RAM), it does not turn on the monitor. I have to turn it complete off and boot fresh to get it to work.

I’m think this could also be driver updated (my OS is up to date though) I’m running Linux with an NVIDIA card which has a reputation for being troublesome. However, I’ve had this same OS and card for about four years with no problem.

It’s a 2060S and I use it pretty regularly, but I wouldn’t think it would die after less than 5 years?

Hi I'm 13 and I'm really into video games and stuff, I live in the UK and was just wondering if there's any good pre built sites here as I'm not interested in building a PC and really just don't have the time for it. I've got give or take maybe about £1,500 and probably 2,000 if i sell my old msi gf63 thin

I would like to hear some opinions on amd both cpus and graphics cards. I always used to use nvidia and intel, but recently i’ve been seeing that amd outperforms most of what intel and nvidia offer. Has anyone switched and how do you feel about it?

For anyone that cares about the inheritability of your game libraries and all other digital assets, there are potentially good news on the horizon. The European Law institute is currently undergoing a project to develop model laws for the EU that will guide how digital inheritance of your social media accounts, game libraries etc. are handled. The project has already started, the model laws are being drafted and it is scheduled to finish by October 2025.

What is more interesting for us is that during a recorded meeting of the people undertaking the project, Blizzard Entertainment was specifically called out for their restrictive TOS that prohibits account transfers under any circumstances. The general sentiment during that call was that such restrictive terms of service should not be enforceable and that laws should be updated to protect consumers from them.

I have included a link to the meeting uploaded to YouTube. If you have time and are interested in this subject, the entire video is worth listening to, but you can jump to 32:02 to hear their comment on non-transferable license clauses, their call for updating laws to tackle their issue and then specifically calling out Blizzard Entertainment. I have included a quote from the YouTube video which people here might find interesting

"This must be another of the great and brave decisions of the model laws. Non-negotiated standard terms should not take precedence over mandatory rules of inheritance law and the basic principle of passing on everything that belonged to the deceased. It is not the same thing to transfer a contractual relationship during life to a third party as is to surrogate an heir to it"
