Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some advice on a situation I’m dealing with.

I sold my GPU to a buyer about a month ago. Before the sale, I made sure to tell him to benchmark it to confirm it was working fine. He did, and everything seemed good at that time.

Fast forward a month later, and he contacts me saying the GPU has failed. I suggested he try replacing the thermal paste, but he now wants to return it.

And he's a seller and distributor with more experience in the market. Our agreement was that he should test it upon receipt and return it if there were any issues.

What are your thoughts on this? Should I accept the return, or stand my ground since it worked fine when he tested it initially?

Appreciate any advice or similar experiences!

Gpu evga rtx 3080

Swapped PSU, can’t connect to any network either wifi in Windows 11, but I can connect in NixOS installed in a separate partition.

What I’ve tried:

  1. Restarting

  2. Disable and enabling my network card in device manager

  3. Uninstalling and reinstalling my network card in device manager

  4. Trying to connect to iphone and android hotspots (wouldn’t connect)

  5. Tethering to android (worked)

  6. Resetting windows installation first by keeping my personal files and then a hard reset, neither worked

Relevant hardware:

Asus TUF B360M-Plus

8600k

TP-Link Archer T4E-AC1200

I’m at wit’s end and contemplating just formatting the windows partition for good.

Just wondering because it happened with the launch of 30 series with 11th gen cpu's, it wasn't until 12th gen that people could really push everything to its limits. Looking at leaks so far it doesn't seem like 15th gen is a massive leap but maybe ditching hyperthreading will help in some areas.

Hi guys,

my PC has recently started facing some issues running games like War Thunder and PUBG where it just reboots after few minutes of gaming (not the case with PUBG). I assume my PSU might be faulty or my old CPU is just not being able to keep up with the GPU💀

My PC specs are as follows: LGA 1150 PSU: CX750 CPU: Intel i5-4460 (soon to be replaced with Intel i7-4790K) GPU: GTX 1080 TI 11GB RAM: Hyperx 32GB 1866MHz DDR3 SSD: 256GB and 2 x 1TB HDD

I know my CPU is being severly bottlenecked, but as I said before I am waiting for the newer i.e. best one for LGA1150 to arrive.

I started experiencing random reboot after I installed the GTX 1080 TI. It is also worth mentioning, that I can't play any game with the 144Hz monitor because the pc just shuts down, so I am sticking to 60Hz at the moment.

Could someone be of help? Could my upgrade to i7-4790K potentially fix the issue?

Hi everyone, I'm doing a new build with ryzen 5 9600x, aorus x670 elite ax and 32 gb of kingston fury ddr5 6000 mhz. I'm getting a red dram led as the title suggests. My question is, can this be caused by me not connecting both 8 pin connectors on the motherboard. The pins are atx 12v and 12v1. The psu is gold standard 750w. The gpu is a bit older, gtx 1080ti but i tried to boot without the gpu and i'm getting the same problem. The PC wont post. If anyone has any suggestiona it would be helpful😂.

  • Ryzen 5 3600
  • Asus Dual Rx 580 4GB
  • 16Gb ddr4 3200mhz RAM
  • 480Gb SATA SSD
  • 750W PSU
  • Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H

I bought this PC from a friend about 2 months ago for €300. I did some maintenance and removed all the dust. Coming from a laptop with integrated graphics, I noticed a significant improvement in gaming performance. I mostly play sim racing games like Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally, as well as some Minecraft, Dark Souls, and CSGO. So far, I haven’t experienced any issues with gaming performance, although I’m aware that it may struggle with newer AAA titles. I might upgrade my GPU in the future, but I’m not sure which one to choose yet.

If anyone is looking to replicate this build, I would recommend choosing a motherboard with more RAM slots. Be aware that the stock AMD cooler is very close to the RAM modules. In my case, one of the modules came into contact with the cooler and got slightly bent, which caused it to fail (I had to repair it). The solution to this issue would be to either buy a different cooler or slightly sand down the plastic on the stock AMD cooler to prevent contact.

Another issue I encountered was with storage. Coming from a laptop with a fast NVMe SSD, this SATA SSD is much slower in comparison and is making the entire PC feel sluggish. I will most likely upgrade to a Gen 3 NVMe SSD soon.

Thanks for taking a look at my build! If anyone has any suggestions or questions, please let me know! :)
