Hey everyone,

I just ran some benchmarking tests using Superposition 1080p High settings, and the results kind of surprised me. The Intel system paired with an Asus Dual 4070 Super outperformed my Ryzen 7800X3D build, which was paired with an Aero 4070 OC, by nearly 20%.

I wasn’t expecting such a huge gap, and I’m curious, does the 4070 Super really make THAT much of a difference? I thought the 7800X3D would have the edge with gaming benchmarks, but in this case, the Intel + 4070 Super combo pulled way ahead.

Has anyone else experienced something similar, or is there another factor I might be missing?

Both had fresh win11 installs.

Edit: Benchmark photo added. Sorry for cellphone picture. I was switching KB+M between these two PCs and got lazy getting a picture of the results.

I got a PC from a friend for around 100€ and it does not have GPU. It has Intel Core i5 10400 inside along with 16GB RAM and 500GB Kingston m2 drive. Motherboard is Gigabyte H410M S2H and I am unsure which power supply I have. I was thinking about getting RTX 3050 or RTX 3060. I am not sure how to calculate bottlenecks and optimize it properly. Thank you in advance.

Heard it was around 2 weeks, but that was on an older version.

For any mods reading this, I do not intend to infringe on rule 2. This is an honest question I'm asking to know what games I could bring to play in a place without internet, and how long would I have in this case if any of them has Denuvo.

Just wanted to run this by your guys before purchasing.

Someone on Facebook Marketplace is selling this PC -

CPU: INTEL I9-12900

RAM: G.SKILL 32G 2X D5 6000 C36 RJ B

Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z790-V WIFI D5 ATX

Storage: SAMSUNG E 2TB 980PRO NVME GEN4SSD

Case: LIANLI LANCOOL II MESH C MT BLK

CPU Cooler: DEEPCOOL AK620

Power Supply: CORSAIR RM750E FM 80+G ATX3 PSU

They are selling it for $600 (maybe I can get him down to $500-$550)

Only (somewhat) problem is it was used as an idle Linux Server for about 3 months. He says it was on 85% of the 3 months, but never went above 15% CPU Utilization. He said the only thing that MIGHT be somewhat heavily used is the SSD's, but he said not nearly 1TB was written on them, and they should be good for another 3+ years. There's no GPU that comes with this. Just wondering if this (with no GPU) is a good deal and could last me years to come I hope?

Hey guys im thinking of going to am5 and 1440p 180hz in the next 1 year or some and sell my current ryzen 5600g rx 7600 16gb of ram build that works good on 1080p to switch to an ryzen 5 7600x, and i dont know if i should either sell the rx 7600 and put a few bucks more (as rx 7600xt is the cheapest 16gb card on my country) or keep the rx 7600 and just sell the pc without gpu and with ryzen 5600g graphics to put it inside the new build, im just worried that the rx 7600 wouldnt run good on 1440p competitive games (cs2, warzone, i also play rdr2, maybe some gta6 in the future hehe) im gonna leave here my pcpartpicker list here https://pcpartpicker.com/list/q4LVsh i want to see some opinions on if i should go with rx 7600xt or rx 7600 for 1440p or on the pcpartpickerlist if i messed up on some build list thing

Hello,

I found this in a Staples Canada on clearance for $849 CDN before Tax.

https://www.staples.ca/products/3068608-en-msi-codex-se-gaming-desktop-intel-core-i5-13400f-rtx-4060-1tb-ssd-16gb-ram-win-11-home?listId=collection

I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell if this would be worth to grab up, I've been looking to get a desktop and this seems like something that would be worth pulling the trigger on.

For context someone had bought it and returned because they ended up getting something else. It comes with the warranty and a 14-day return period.

Would it be better to wait till Black Friday deals come out and grab something that is closed or would this be solid?

For context I'm just looking to have something to play the odd game on like Diablo 4, New Wow expansion when they come out and stuff like that

Thanks for any help or advice!

As far as I enjoy playing on TV, I realized that I'm not really happy with my XBOX and that I spend most of time with my gaming/working pc on desk anyway. I want to use apartment change as a opportunity to get rid of console and just use my one PC instead. The plan is to have a PC on desk next to monitor, but have a HDMI cable routed to TV in the second room, but I imagine that might not be as simple as it sounds. Does anyone do the same and has some tips?

My worries so far (but please add yours):

  1. The TV cable. I guess that it has to be HDMI, as TV usually don't have DP. Some says the cable should not be longer than 5 meters, some says about 10 meters. How true is it with HDMI 2.1? If 10 is still loseless, I could really place the desk wherever.

  2. I believe that good idea would be to route not only HDMI, but USB for pad dongles or whatever I want to display on TV

  3. Is there a software solution for switching the screens? I believe that ideally only one should be connected for usability, because plenty of times I got stuff pop up on wrong screen in the past. I don't know about performance, does it matter if something is on second screen when playing on full screen borderless?

  4. There also might be some hardware KVM switches but they compromise quality, don't they? If I wanted compromised quality I would just stream game wireless...

Bonjour !
