In all honesty, this is my first attempt and my first build. I posted on another Reddit thread with a prototype with different parts and got immediately roasted for my poor choice on what I spent my budget on. I took the criticism, deleted the post, joined a Discord server, and made this final version.

I was honestly sceptical of Newegg's open box and refurbished products because of the Gamers Nexus situation and of the AliExpress CPU, but the kind people I met on this journey reassured me that things would be find if I recorded myself opening the unboxing and have a little courage the make the leap. This thing runs beautifully by the way. It runs Black Myth: Wukong at 1080p on high at 60fps with some slight modification to the native settings.

It's way different than my previous history of computers since I typically game on an outdated laptop. I know for a fact that this thing is a potato because its running everything with an Intel i5-9300HF and NVIDIA GTX 1650. I'm pretty sure both components are five years old by this point and the fact that this is a badly ventilated laptop probably shorted the life of both.

Feel free to congratulate me or roast me (yet again) about my bad choice for components with my budget.

I'm looking to get a new laptop before I head back to university. I wanted to know if there was a website where I could test multiple games on multiple laptops to see which one would work best for me.

So I recently built my PC about a month and a half ago, I have been struggling trying to find the best (budget friendly) accessories for this thing. I finally cracked down on a decent keyboard and mouse. Now my next challenge is for Audio when playing games.

Now I know over the ear headsets are obviously the go to for what I'm wanting which is Good Directional Audio when I play any FPS and a good clear mic. The reason I am wanting to stray away from that is because...well with a wife and kids, as much as I may want to sometimes tune them out, I need to always have an ear out in case I'm summoned. And secondary is...they aren't so comfortable, I wear glasses, I have two gauges each (earrings) in both ears, and maybe my head is big, I don't know, but not comfy for me.

Anyway, I'm looking to find either wired or wireless earbuds that can do some directional audio and has a clear mic. I was using Beats Fit Pro, however when I would be in Discord, people say I sound like a robot. As of right now I'm using Apple Earbuds (Usb-C) and friends on discord hear me crystal clear.

So anyone have any suggestions? Again, I just built this PC so everything is sorta new to me. Tring to balance audio in game and on discord seems to also be a little challenging but...I'll get there eventually.
