Hello

I don’t have many friends IRL and I was online Christmas Day with a pug going 4 boss mythic

I started chatting with a guy on discord and he said he lives in the area and he asked if I’d like to go for a drink… which we planned for tonight. He seems cool and beggars can’t be choosers so I said yes.

I turned up about 2 hours ago to my local Wetherspoons and I shit you not, I walked into a very busy pub and saw a guy dressed as Santa, head to toe but with a real beard.

Surely it’s not him I thought

But it fucking was.

I thought I’d give him a chance but it was weird, really weird.

He kept making jokes about have gifts in his sack and wanted to give the gifts to different women he kept pointing at.

He then made a joke about me having a poo when I went to the toilet and literally wouldn’t stop talking about poo

Then he started to hug me constantly after every time he made the joke to say sorry… wtf

Anyways I ended up just leaving

Just a warning that people in game may seem cool but IRL is a different story

Hey everyone! 👋

I've been working on a new addon called DungeonDocs, and I'm excited to share it with y'all. The addon displays notes during combat in Mythic Plus dungeons, with enemy-specific notes shown dynamically based on what you're fighting. It's sorta like an in-combat mob guide that's as detailed as you make it.

Background

I was inspired by this awesome WeakAura pack that popped up at the beginning of TWW. I found displaying notes in-game helped me learn encounters faster and alleviated some of the stress that came with jumping into dungeons I wasn't familiar with. This sparked the idea for something customizable and purpose-built.

Due to life happening, I haven't really had uninterruptable chunks of free time for M+ this season, so instead I jumped into addon dev and have been hacking away.

I couldn't find another addon that accomplished exactly what I had in mind, though admittedly I could have done more digging. Hopefully it fills a gap that (I think) is missing in the Mythic Plus experience and others find it useful.

Core Features

• Display general and role-specific notes for each mob encountered during combat in M+ dungeons
• Customizable styling to suit your preferences and UI
• Profiles can be imported and exported so notes are easily shared
• Report the primary note for your target in chat with a slash command
• Basic boss notes for TWW Season 1 are included, and you can easily add your own

DungeonDocs is currently in beta, so there's bound to be bugs, but it's in a good place for testing and feedback. Please check it out if you're interested!

Decided to give tanking a try for the first time ever. Leveled my Druid as a guardian, read and watched several guides to understand what to do, installed relevant addons and went to town in regular dungeons, time walking, and eventually mythic+.

Never in my life have I been so abused for just trying to play the game, being eager to learn. Perhaps I simply sucked but never being given a chance to learn was disappointing. Going back to DPS.

I started wow in late BFA. I thought N'zoth's design, voice, and lore reaching back to classic was amazing. (like the dead, washed up sea creatures on darkshore) To be honest, all the old gods are my favorite things in WoW, but N'zoth specifically because he was the most fleshed out, with virtually an entire expansion dedicated to him. He was my first introduction to the eldritch theme in any form of media and I instantly fell in love with the theme.

Looking back, I am kind of dissapointed that he died the way he died. I can only hope that the world soul saga, specifically midnight, will feature more eldrich themes with X'alatath.

Even in a more general sense, I think the conflict between titans and old gods is incredibly well written. The ambiguity that there isn't nessesarily a good and bad side makes it 10 times better. For example, if it wasn't for Yogg Saron and the curse of flesh, most mortals on Azeroth would not have free will.

The old gods are amazing, and it disappointed me that the Jailer tried to be what old gods were in the sense that he was behind a lot of stuff in wow, but the different between the jailer and the old gods is that the old gods actually had hints and established lore since the start of the game, and was not just a random character that was made to sound cool and mysterious.

I was looking for a group for a m+10 as a paladin tank, 2610 io, 626 ilvl. I was accepted to a group pretty much instantly (as always). In the list of people waiting, I saw a monk with 2800 io and 638 ilvl.

I did not say anything as the rest of the group had great ilvl and io. That's crazy how people think the meta class can counterbalance a 12 ilvl difference and high level experience (this was my ninth timed +10 key, and my first as tank I timed, I healed the other eight timed, I timed several +8 and +9 as tank).

I made a couple of mistakes, but we still timed it with a couple of minutes left. However I am sure they would have a much smoother run with the monk.

since just after mid Dragonflight, the portal to The Great Seal/Zuldazar has been bugged and it drops you at the harbour no matter where you are in the campaign for BFA.

Normally this is whatever it's still the same city, but the portal room there was the best way to get to Silithus, Thunderbluff, and Nazjatar as well as the LFR npc for BFA raids. Obviously not the biggest bug but it's just a plain inconvenient QoL bug
