Damn, I absolutely love Pink Floyd. But maybe I didn't really listen to other prog rock bands.

Cool. I just know an audio guy who loves them so I checked them out and yeah they’re fucking sweet

Maybe... But they brought prog rock to the masses and we should respect them for that at least.
Personally I think they are great but I grew up listening to them.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I consider my musical tastes to be broad and Pink Floyd remains one of my favourite bands of all time.
