Again, if you haven't done enough research to know that the official English name is Communist Party of China, that they themselves have never referred to themselves as CCP and has always used the acronym CPC, it casts serious doubt on what else you know about them, and makes me think you're just regurgitating what you read on random Reddit threads. Or, if you know that's the wrong name and just don't care, I'm gonna assume you similarly don't care about how factually correct the rest of your arguments are.

Regardless of the official translation, both CCP and CPC are commonly used by English speakers. Please don't be pedantic.

It's not pedentry. It's the fact that if you're not even willing to use the official names for stuff after being told, you're clearly not willing to have a good faith argument because you're willing to change nothing about your own worldview. Calling something by the correct name, which can be proven beyond doubt, is the simplest thing to do and doesn't even require you to change your opinions on that entity, and you're not even willing to concede that, so clearly you're not willing to ever change any opinions that matter.

If you went to a proctologist and he kept using the word "asshole" instead of the technical term "anus", even after being told what the technical term is, how confident would you be in his actual medical skills? Or if you're biologically female, if a gynaecologist kept saying "pussy" instead of "vagina". All those terms are commonly used by English speakers, right? Or, if a med student refuses to even use the right name for the organ they're studying, what are the chances that they also won't properly how it works? You'd think a med school prof is pedentic when they have the previous line of thought?
