It's Mexico. $500 would override their legal obligations.

(Please don't crucify me, I spent a lot of time there and absolutely love Mexico, it's culture and it's people ❀️... But damn if I didn't spend a lot of money on bribes)

Then offer more. A quick end to the war to save $100 billion or so is worth a lot of money. Offer enough and maybe even the cartels decides they'd like to help uphold the law

What always gets me is how do you know how much to bribe people for? Did you have to ask around? Do they actually tell you?

I just picture me slipping a border guard a fiver and being so insulted he arrests me lol
