Eh... So... About that first bit... I've got bad news for you buddy if you think that privatized healthcare is great and you think that Americans don't pay way too much for it.
The US government is the one that pays the most per capita for healthcare, what everyone pays in taxes for healthcare is only used to cover about a third of the population, that means the rest also needs to pay for private insurance as well or they're not covered at all and pay out of pocket when they need to go to the hospital.
Life expectancy, child death, death during labour, look at the stats, the US is worse than some very poor countries that offer healthcare for everyone.
Hell, if you pay taxes in Alberta then I've got news for you buddy, you're paying fuck dick for healthcare. You're ready to pay for private insurance in the USA instead of paying rent somewhere for a few months to have an address or finding someone that lets you use their address in order to apply for Alberta coverage? All that tells me is that you're not one that lets logic get in their way!

I havent had to pay a single penny to an insurance company or healthcare provider. Less than £100 a month comes out of my paycheck, which funds the NHS. My prescriptions don’t cost a penny extra. For life.
How much do you pay per month? Whats your deductible? How much is your medication? Whats your insurance limit?
That's odd. The NHS is known internationally for being near as bad as the Canadian model. "NHS in Crisis" is in the papers 7 times a year.

I really hope the federal government doesn't "nationalize" dentistry. Right now if I need care I can get it. Other than emergencies I'm to fuck off under the current regime. The doctors have left. They dicked around for 2 years over a customers prostate cancer now it's spread, he'll be dead this time next year.

Those 800k other anecdotes didn't happen because government policy chased all.the doctors out of the country leaving us with the bottom of the barrel stressed out to the nines. Can't get a doctor now If I want one, had to basically bribe a nurse to get my class one medical done. Nurses, nurse practicioners and pharmacists can do that, now, btw, government realized truckers not being able to see doctors to get government mandated medicals was counter productive.

The point still stands, medical mistakes still happen in the private system across the border, you're blaming the public system because you're angry at it so you keep ignoring that the same thing could have happened in the USA (and a big part of the blame for your personal situation goes to you in fact, maybe it's because you know it but can't accept it that you're so angry, you should get that looked into, good news, psychologists are mostly operating privately... You really do love lying. Do i need to remind you of my post that you responded to? Lets see, the last time I used the system.... was 2 weeks ago, when I took my baby to the ER for an ear infection. That took 4 hours, which isn't great and has room for improvement, but... you know, they got the care they needed at 0 additional cost.

It's not the same across the whole country though.
