Hey everyone, between yesterday's security incident on some lemmy instances and the horrible heat that won't let me sleep properly, I'm feeling a bit flat.

I'm still around, but taking a bit of a break from server stuff now that things are mostly stable.

How's your day going?

So my server is really old. So old that the OS on it is a 32bit i386 one, which Synapse doesn't support. There's instructions out there on how to "crossgrade" Debian from i386 to x86_64. Would not recommend, but all things considered it didn't go as bad as it could have.

None of this is the fault of Matrix or Synapse though, of course.
