I stumbled across this paper analyzing different kinds of data collected by two most popular Android keyboard apps: Gboard and Swiftkey, as well as FOSS AnySoftKeyboard.

So, this made me install and enable anysoftkeyboard. Let's see whether it functionally does what it needs to as well.

it's been my keyboard of choice for the past... six years, maybe? the settings are a mess, but once I set everything up it's been working great for me. as far as I can tell it's the only FOSS keyboard app that does multilingual autocorrect without having to manually switch between dictionaries.

TIL that multilingual autocorrect exists.

like, as an option in ASK or in general?

As any kind of option. I'm French Canadian and I speak German, so it would be super awesome if I didn't get autocorrected on words that exist in other languages.

I am currently typing on it. In English it is fine thus far (even on Dutch QWERTY instead of English default), but I still have to test Dutch.

Where is that option for multilingual autocorrect?

long press the Enter button, choose "Override default dictionary", and merge the dictionaries you want to use together.
