After my first experience, I only go to the ER like I'm packing overnight. Big camp bag with food and drinks and entertainment. they're going to see me eventually...
Yeah. Definitely bring food and drinks. Bring a book, phone charger, the whole shabang. You will be there all day and night. It's not something you just go do for the afternoon.
I don't know about bringing too much though. My hospital will through everything you bring in, even in the ER. It's a hassle.
