The parents of a 17-year-old who was so malnourished she weighed as low as 27.3 kilograms are on trial, accused of starving her.

The Perth District Court heard her father refused to take her to medical appointments and "found the whole situation ludicrous".

She was eventually removed from her parents' care after they refused to allow a hospital to insert a feeding tube.

In the hospital they were putting on stuff like the wiggles and having her sing and dance for them, this sounds like a dance moms situation
