Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post

Try to keep things on topic
If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered

How do I go about being anonymous/private on social medias like youtube, twitter, instagram? (lemmy.ml)

I don't really use them, lately I thought if I want my voice/influence to be heard on a wider audience, I need to join the corporate social media platforms first.

my strategy is to slowly convert my followers to follow me on pleroma/mastodon by telling them if they want to see more/relevant posts, go to my fediverse account.

Instagram isn't necessary but twitter and youtube is. I haven't found a way to make an account privately. does anyone have any ideas? it would be really helpful

a vpn for twitter since it doesn't work on tor
a phone number

edit; I tried 1984 and it asked for personal info for the domain. use njal.la instead.

Creating a phone verified Google/Gmail might help. https://5sim.net is your friend there. They also do Twitter activation too. it's all quite cheap :)

can I use monero to use this service? it says that you only use it for 15 minutes... so then I don't keep the phone number, this might be a problem if I can't use that same number in the future.

No, but you could convert your XMR to Bitcoin or Litecoin using something like https://xmr.is :)
