Our state (MT) painted it on the shoulder of the interstate instead of having the sign for that one. Same thing with the "406" mile marker sign. Both would get stolen a lot.
Whats with 406?
The entire state's area code.
I'm disappointed the 404s haven't been disappearing. They ought to be unfindable.
