Harambe is a gorilla who was killed back in 2016. There's a running joke/meme that that's when the Bad Timeline started, and if we only could have saved Harambe, we would be living in the Good Timeline. This makes the joke that Harambe will instead return, like Gandalf the Gray becoming Gandalf the White.

In addition to the other context, the white gorilla is real. Its the only albino gorilla ever found, it had a mutation caused by incest. It died at the age of ~30
Everything sucks and only Harambe can fix it.
