Stepping in if you're in the US means a good chance of being shot.

If anything sketchy is going on anywhere I immediately leave (and call the cops if something is bad enough), and I don't hang around to get shot by the cops.

The real world is not an internet chat room. The vast majority of Americans aren't carrying guns.

A significant portion of the population in red states is concealed carrying too.
