What benefits does it have over NewPipe / NewPipe + SponsorBlock?
Logging in to your account with all it implies: Being able to like and comment, history shared across devices, subscriptions (although there's ways to import your subscriptions into NewPipe but it's hacky), recommendations, etc. If you want this, NewPipe won't do it as it has no way to log in. Many people don't anyway, but a lot do.
Only one, if you consider it as one. Many people do. YouTube Recommendation feed, which brings with itself YouTube culture and being able to keep up with the latest YouTube celebrity memes in your social circle.
I consider it a negative because it sucks away a lot of time and is meaningless junk.
From my experience, none. I tried it and stuck with newpipe. I guess if you really want to use the actual youtube frontend, then theres that
I also stick with NewPipe, as it is fully libre. Vanced/ReVanced were just mods to the proprietary YouTube app.
It doesn't fuck up once a month.
I have never had it mess up in any way
