That's the thing, every post on rednote like "do you guys want us here" has hundred of responses from chinese IPs like "Yeah, you guys are great", the only criticism I see is that some influencer don't like that the long-form videos they spend 8 hours a day making are getting out-competed by shitposts directly reposted from tiktok, sometimes without even a translation.

It's probably mixed, and no real general consensus. I'm sure there are people welcoming Americans, I'm sure there are people annoyed by the new influx of people, but I'm sure most people don't care at all or don't even know Americans are moving to it.

I assure you, it's impossible to miss a million americans, and a bunch of countries that didn't even ban tiktok showing up overnight.
