I think some people downvote the DT regularly because it appears in their general Lemmy feed and is pretty distinctly different to most of the other stuff in the network

Ah yep, that makes sense I suppose. Kinda weird though, it's not like Lemmy has an algorithm it can use to learn what posts you don't like. Probably easier to just block the community
