Good news, it turns out Melbcat already had her Solensia at another place.
Bad news -
Cat medical
I noticed she might be having some issues with seeing. She wasn’t really looking at me or tracking my finger. She did seem to react to light and track a little to thrown cotton balls. But she didn’t react to my fingers hovering near her eyes and her pupils didn’t constrict when I shone the torch.
Having been warned that the enrofloxacin carries the risk of blindness I brought her into emergency and it turns out she has some bleeding in her right eye.
She’s not blind and the doctor said he thinks her retina is still attached but there have been changes to her vision. And he thinks it could be due to high blood pressure from her kidney disease. I thought it would be the antibiotic but who knows.
They weren’t able to check her blood pressure properly due to her being stressed. (The waiting room had noisy fidgety dogs, we waited a while and she was separated from me for examination. They also tried to straighten her arthritic arm to take her blood pressure.) So she’s going into her regular vet to chill for a bit first and get checked out there.
