i actually like my Quest 2, for the simple fact that it can be stand-alone and used on my PC. it's why I don't immediately balk at the price of the Q3 like I did the PSVR2.
that said, I rarely, if ever use my Quest 2 nowadays. I got it at a reduced price from a friend (who gets motion sick, go figure) so I don't feel much buyer's remorse. But that's different than at the $500 range. curious to see how it comes together.
the backward compatibility is nice.
I really like mine, too. I got it as a gift back when it first came out, but definitely don't use it as much as I used to. That's partially due to the pandemic being less of a thing now + being generally busier. I really should get it out again soon... I especially enjoy the rhythm games like Synth Riders.
for me it's space haha. i wrote a whole review on the quest and it's kinda funny how much of a reminder it was of how much of a millennial I am. i can only use it in my own room, I don't have a basement or dedicated space. so I have to play very stationary games, but if I'm gonna do that, why go through the effort for anything that isn't like, half-life alyx?
i LOVE beat saber and Until You Fall though, they're great cardio openers
Yeah - the Q2 price was going down fast, and then suddenly meta realised the metaverse is not the future and jacked up all the prices, so I got a metaverse subsidised marketing version and love it - but not /that/ much @___@
