Should I...uh, should I step into Warframe?

I never ever played it and I'd like to understand what the fuss is all about.

I've been playing solo-only for years now and on Linux for the past 5 years. I love the lore and the gameplay. The story quests are repeatable (most of them) and I'm personally very happy to replay them. There's a lot of moving parts but no sense of rush or a time crunch, so I consider it very relaxing, again personally.
