Significant amount of Americans support what he is doing so revolution would be unlikely, and people opposed are apathetic or scared. History seems to point more towards American mimicking what happened with Germany after Hitler took power and people either being captive in the country should leaving cease to be an option, and regime change being entirely dependent on foreign intervention than an internal one.

And given that the US has the strongest military things aren't looking great for change over the past decades if the US fully shifts to an authoritarian government.
