We are a Pro-Conservative forum. Posts must have a clear pro-conservative, or anti left-wing bias. We are interested in promoting conservatism and discussing things that might get ignored elsewhere. All sources are acceptable, however reputable sources with a reputation for factual reporting are preferred.

Dissent is allowed in the comments, but try to be constructive; if you do not agree, then provide a reason which is backed up by references or a reasonable alternative interpretation of the provided facts. That means the left wing is welcome to state their opinions, but please keep it in good faith.
A polite request, not a rule, if you feel the need to report a comment, please don't reply to it.

I also said they were delicate. They spread misinformation, refuse to engage in good faith discussion, and remove comments they don't agree with. They are trolls.
I haven't seen any of that. But I would ask: If you aren't conservative, then why be in a conservative community? You know you will disagree with everything posted. Wouldn't it be easier just to block it?
I'm not so delicate that I can't encounter ideas that I don't agree with. I see it because it comes up in "all". I post good faith comments and expect a good faith response, you know a conversation. I get misinform, lies and insults, then all of my good faith comments are removed. If it's an echo bunker of misinformation and lies that doesn't welcome opposing opinions then just be honest about it and make the community private, unless of course it's just bad faith trolling.
But someone who posts an conservative article in a conservative community is under no obligation to have to discuss it. Many like it, post it, and move on.
And from what I see on Lemmy, that perfectly describes Lemmy as a whole.
Also, as far as I know, there is no way to make a community private. I WISH there was though. Or if there is, please tell me how to do it.
Yes, that is the definition of an echo bunker.
Parts of it, yes. It depends on the server and the community.
That's easy. Go back to Reddit.
So if you can't make a community private on Lemmy, why suggest it? And I'm already on Reddit.
You can make a community private by setting up your own server and making it invite only. That's the joy of the fediverse.
We know.
Yeah, but there's not way to set up a private community on a different server. Not every knows how to, or has the money to, make their own instance.
You can get a VPS for under $20 per month.
The Fediverse was setup so that a single group of people, or a single billionaire fascist, couldn't control the conversation. You can't get together with a group of half a dozen extremists and strategically block anyone whose ideology you don't like to prevent them from participating in the conversation. Blocking on Lemmy takes you out of the conversation, not the person you block.
If what you want is an ideologically pure conversation where the truth is shouted down try Facebook, Xitter, Truth Social, Telegraph, or any of the other fascist loving social media platforms. If you want to create a hermetically sealed ideologically pure completely truth proof echo bunker you want Reddit. On Lemmy lies and misinformation will be challenged and you will get conversation with people who have different ideas than you. That's how the Fediverse works.
The Fediverse was setup so that a single person, or groups of libs who want to control the narrative, couldn’t control the conversation.
Which is awesome. Oh, and I DO have my own instance. I'm just saying that not everyone can do that.
Which is why I call out the lib lies and misinformation that I see on here.
That’s how the Fediverse works.
Attempting to substitute right wing lies and misinformation, or more often than not Russian propaganda, for the truth is not "call(ing) out lib lies and misinformation". That's a fundamental logical mistake that the right makes.
Yes, it is.
