Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-question posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

On fridays, you are allowed to post meme and troll questions, on the condition that it's in text format only, and conforms with our other rules. These posts MUST include the [NSQ Friday] tag in their title.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

Rule 7- You can't intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.

If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here.

Let's face it folks -- if you've gotta live in a country going through chaos, you might as well have a bit of fun on the way down. One of the few things that perks me up each morning is seeing headlines like "Trump Supporters Worried About Losing Their Federal Jobs" or "Republican Voters Worried They Might Not Get Their Social Security Checks". Well folks, when Trump was promising chaos in the run-up to the election, this is what he was talking about. All these federal departments getting turned over and eviscerated is exactly what he said he'd do. Supposedly, this is what you all wanted!

If you're a multi-millionaire and you voted for Trump, I get it. It seems like a really good idea. If you're working class, or even crazier, dependent on government aid, and you voted for Trump, holy crap... you were swindled.

I hope eventually our country gets back on the track to being sane. It's a shame that it's much, much, much easier to tear down things than it is to create them. I look forward to the mid-terms and I hope the Democrats get their heads out of their asses, because we could really use the help. In the meantime, I'll be drinking up all those delicious "Trump supporter tears" and not feeling bad at all.

I'm struggling to believe these articles are anything but pandering to the left. I struggle to believe there's any significant number of conservatives actually having real second thoughts.

I mean during COVID you had conservatives literally claiming COVID was no big deal as they died. I think that was when I understood just how far gone these people could be. They will happily drink the Kool aid no matter the personal cost to themselves.

So losing their jobs is questionable as to whether or not it's going to actually result in a different mindset, rather than some fleeting complaints that are forgotten by the next election cycle.

If someone was uninformed and misinformed enough to think voting for Trump was even remotely in their own self-interest in the first place, then there is almost no disaster Trump can cause that will not be instantly reframed as "just imagine how much worse it would be under Dems!"

Dying of COVID? Well at least you're not dying from forced vaccination!

Layoffs due to tariffs? LOL what's a tariff?

Can't get benefits you need to survive? Well clearly the Welfare Queens left him no choice! It's their fault!

It's no coincidence that Trump in particular and Republicans in general relentlessly attack education and free information. They've already brainwashed enough of the population to win elections, and they want to make sure the general population has no way out of that hole. This is why they're attacking Wikipedia and Internet Archive. This is why Project 2025's first order of business is to eliminate the Department of Education. This is why Musk bought fucking Twitter in the first place, most likely. This is why they're now trying to repeal Section 230 (with the help of some Judas Dems), so they can bully any web site into taking down any information they don't like.

The information apocalypse is upon us.

I live in Missouri. Anecdotally, there are a lot of trumpers/nazis who used to be real proud of that fact who are real fucking quiet about it as of the last few weeks.

So something is making it through. Can't say as of yet that it's making it as far as 'real second thoughts' but they are def embarrassed right now.

I’m struggling to believe these articles are anything but pandering to the left.

There's not exactly any good news to go around, so chuckling at the misfortunes of others is all we have. I'm very aware I'm on the same sinking ship. My only hope is to stay alive while this happens and hopefully still be on board when the holes are patched.

I remember seeing a lot of headlines on the Herman Cain Award subreddit claiming things like deniers asking doctors if they could still get vaccinated as they faced severe illness. lol

Trump’s popularity is lower than any President at this point in their presidency. I think there are a lot of “moderates” and uninformed voters who are starting to regret their choice.

Once he starts axing Medicare/medicare and going after social security and other popular programs it is only going to get worse.

Just remember there will be roughly 20 to 30 percent who are hard core MAGA who will never change their minds no matter how bad it gets.
