In short:

Antony Green is stepping down as the national broadcaster's chief election analyst after more than three decades.

He will continue to work behind the scenes on election-related projects.

Green joined the ABC in 1989 and has provided live analysis of about 100 state and federal elections.

He telegraphed this a while back. Job well done, wish him the best with his next adventures in life.

Who do we think is gonna get the nod?

  • Ben Raue should be a contender, although his previous polical affiliations might get in the way.

  • Kevin Bonham, from tassy, don't know much about him myself.

  • William Bowe of Poll Bludger fame. I have to go for him as a hometown hero! Lol!

  • Glenn Druery, the preference whisperer, could be a controversial but interesting pick.

I'm sure theres plenty of other people who wpuld be great options.

Honestly I didn't know his name, but by his face, that's exactly who I would have predicted. It's been fairly obvious that they've been grooming him for the role for some time now.
