[Police] said they responded to an emergency call [...] and they found Trachtenberg "unconscious and unresponsive". She was "pronounced deceased at the scene". "Criminality is not suspected. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing," the NYPD said in a statement.

Sounds to be a sudden acute medical event related to a liver transplant operation. I loved Buffy back in the day, and this is sad news. RIP to Ms. Trachtenberg.
