I mean, Ukraine was (is?) probably the country with the most corruption in Europe, I've been there, it was flabbergasting. It stands to reason that you don't become the president of such a country without getting dirty yourself.

But everyone can improve, that's part of the point of this war I think: Ukraine could have just let Russia take over, everything would have probably gone back to "normal" in a few years, but they're making sacrifices for a better future, one closer to European democracies.

Of course what op is saying is childish nonsense for so many reasons it's not even worth discussing.
