Resist: It's Time

We are still in this together, but "this" is going to be real different in the very near future. This demands a different kind of "we."
The French Resistance during Nazi occupation played important roles delivering downed Allied airmen back to safety, supplying military intelligence, and acts of sabotage.
The Underground Railroad is estimated to have brought 100,000 freedom seekers to safety between 1810 and 1850.
It's time.

I am lucky enough to be able to afford some hours every day to this activity and not everyone can do this, but I am posting my small act of civil disobedience to show it’s not crazy to be thinking about it.
please be safe!
@[email protected] thanks, it’s a concern I have for sure. I’ll be wearing my Sunday finest and no face coverings/sunglasses so people can see my happy face. I can deal with lip from people but any physical threats and I will back out and just come back the next day.
Please consider two things,
Being a little more descriptive of where you will be, so others can join you. This will come at a privacy risk of course, but considering you're not going to be covering your identity in any way on site, it may be worth it for you.
Bringing something to defend yourself. It doesn't have to be a gun, but it absolutely can be. It can also be pepper spray, a knife that is easily concealed as to not appear to be a threat, a partner/friend who could potentially help protect you or stand as a witness, etc.
We aren't at the violence stage of all of this, but I do sincerely believe it is not far away. Number one, protect you, your loved ones, and then your livelihood.
Be safe, and thank you for being a voice for those who can't.
