So there is definitely a population. It is actually a quite popular community on its own on the whole platform with 2.28K users / week and 3.56K users / month. You can see it on https://lemmyverse.net/communities?order=active, it's in the top 50, and only being dedicated on movies content.

Rebuilding the community shouldn't take long, as we already have people here. If the content moves and we clearly point to it, people will follow
