What a cliff hanger qwq, but I understand that people want to have something in return for the enormous amount of effort they put into their work, and "paid now, free later" feels like one of the best / most balanced approaches to making money but also reaching a large audience.
Agreed, the cliffhanger sucks but it is fair.
