We went to a county show, they asked veterans to stand, no one did. Our child even nudged us to be recognized. ~We~ met in the military and live in red country, very rural. We stayed sitting.
We don’t have the right to ask children to do this any more.
May I ask, what was your reasoning for staying sitting, was it political or moral?
Because they felt like sitting should be enough. Fuck that stand for the pledge nonsense shoehorned into everything
My baseball team plays God Bless America during the seventh stretch, and people stand up for that, and then make comments when I don't. I'm a vet, and I only stand for the star spangled because people make even more comments. I did my duty, I'm done with jingoistic bullshit
Listen bro/sis thanks for everything, I will stay sitting during all that bs in your honor. Your id is truly unique in this day
