Too bad Saturn's visually right beside the sun at this time.

It's past the sun. Mar 12 was the closest. However, the combination of tilts means even though it's relatively far from the sun, it rises at nearly the same time - just a bit further south. Friday morning might be a good bet. It looks like our view is going further out of alignment after that. I'm not sure when peak is, but having the moon right next to it seems good enough
