Since autism in females presents differently, we need a place to discuss our own issues and triumphs dealing with Autism.

I was diagnosed at 57 and feel strongly that something shifted when I started menopause.

Has anyone else experienced this or know of any connection?

Neither a woman nor autistic, but there is definitely a connection. It isn't exactly well studied yet, but it's a common enough occurrence for the two to have some strong interactions that there's been some research into it.

That's an article from a year ago that an acquaintance sent me, and I just did a quick search for anything more recent. I didn't find anything new information wise. Pretty much every article out there refers to This study

It looks like something that needs more research because it seems to be very common.
