Welcome to "You Don't Matter, Give Up."

This community is inspired by the concept of text that conveys opposite messages when read in a different manner. While it shares similarities with [email protected] and [email protected] in that all of these play with the idea of misreading text, YDMGU specifically focuses on phrases that can be read in both directions, with each interpretation being valid and opposites of each other.

Important Note: This subreddit is not a place for discussions about suicide or self-harm. If you or someone you know is struggling with these feelings, we urge you to seek help. Please visit [email protected] or reach out to appropriate resources for support. Because you matter, don't give up.

[email protected] exists! Don't know how big it will get, I feel there is not too much to talk about, but there are always newbies with questions and even experienced donors having a change in their experience and wanting to know why it happened on r/blooddonors, so…

Go donate, I think it's fun. I just keep doing random crap on my phone with one hand while squeezing some squishy stress-ball type thing on another the whole time for actual blood donation. 10 minutes with the needle in your arm.

If you donate platelets, the place I do it at puts needles in both arms and it is like 2–2.5 hours, so they have a TV for you to watch hooked up with Netflix and other streaming services as well as YouTube. Again, squeeze some stress ball type thing the whole time.

Also, I'd say 15–30 minute wait + filling out the permission stuff and getting tested for eligibility to donate. Free snacks at the end of both. I get to help sick people by sitting on my ass and letting other people do the hard work of taking my liquids, pretty cool.
